Recycled Paper Beads You can make these beads from recycled scrap paper, and string them together to make jewelry! What you'll need: •scraps of wallpaper, magazine pictures, used wrapping paper, colored paper, etc. •pencil, ruler, and scissors •School Glue or Mod Podge •Tooth pick - drinking straws •thread or yarn Before you begin, gather all of your supplies together and put them on your work surface. Read all of the directions from start to finish. Now you are ready to begin. 1. With your scissors, cut long triangles from your paper scraps that are about 1/2-inch wide and 2 1/2-inches long. Make a template to trace, if you wish. 2. Cover one side of a triangle with Glue. Put the Glue on the inside of the paper so that the colorful pattern will be on the outside of your bead. 3. Place the triangle's glued short side on a Tooth Pick or drinking straw. 4. Wrap the paper completely around itself on the Tooth Pick or straw. 5. Pull off Tooth Pick or straw let dry 6. To make beads with different shapes, vary the size and shape of the paper triangles that you cut. 7 .Let your beads dry, and then string them together on your thread or yarn. Knot the ends of the thread together.

Straw Weaving - Supplies - 3 to 4 - 7 1/2 inch straws - 3 to 4 - 12 inch pieces of yarn - Long piece of yarn till reaches end of straws- Masking tape- Thread straws with 12 inch piece of yarn Tie knot at the bottom place small piece of tape on straws Tie long piece to one of the end straws Start to weave over, under, over, under, Till you reach the end where you will tie a knot on the straw Take off tape pull out straws at the top tie knot with the 3 to 4 ends together like the bottom. Gift - I made with their invitation. It was a destination wedding so I included a map of Arizona. Then I pinned it into a shadow box.

Paper Flowers for Party Decorations!

Fold full sheet of tissue paper back and forth. Cut ends with scissors or use corner paper punch.

Place in stack largest to small. Punch hole in the middle, Place brad through hole and tape with packaging tape. Then fan out. Start pulling gently the center apart first work you way out. Fished flowers were 20” in diameter.

Went out this weekend to pick prickly pear fruit for jelly. I found a lot of broken glass, Old and New. I decided to make glass pendants. It reminds me of Sea Glass. I am going to call it Superior Desert Glass

I am giving you the recipe to make natural colored salt dough. Place 2 cups flour in a mixing bowl & 1 Cup table salt 3/4 – 1 cup of juice (I juiced for this flower, the green is spinach juice and the magenta is prickly pear juice) Water varies due to humidity so add juice till makes a dough like play dough Item can be embellished with seeds pressed in to the dough. Here in Arizona I let them air dry – but they can be placed in a 300* oven for about 20 min. I glue a pin back to the back when completely dry.

I decide to change my Esty shop name to what I have been using Jnz Altered Art!

This week my only son graduated from high school. We had a party that I made all of the centerpieces for the table from Upcycled Jars & cans.

When his guest came the hat was were they placed their card for him. I put together two composition note books full of photos of him and mementos I collected though the years. The memories were from kindergarten to high school graduation.

At his party we had a Photo Booth our guest had a blast with my props that I made and some came from the local dollar store.

I have been collecting tin cans and jars to use as decoration for my sons graduation party. I have also picked some up at the goodwill. This is the jars that I put mini daisy plants in the jars. I can't wait for the end result of my hard work.

Tee Shirt Hack - Bleach Pen, Sharpie and Cut into Tank Top

I wrote the quote I liked on the Tee Shirt with pencil.
Then I used the Bleach Pen to trace over the pencil.
Waited about 5-10 minutes, till you can see the bleach removing the color like you would want it.
Rinsed out the bleach completely and dry shirt completely.
Before using Sharpie on shirt ensure that it is dry. Trace outlines as you are inspired to do so.
Then I used this diagram to cut the Tee Shirt into a tank. I cut mine straight across at the bottom.
